I use (first in  knowledge) because Psalm 111:10 says first...in knowledge is reverence for the Lord (Moffatt translation). The blog name Spirit and Truth is from John 4:24 "God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth".

 

     The objective of the true Christian is eternal spiritual life in the kingdom of God. The only alternative is eternal death. After the death of the flesh, some will rise to eternal life and some to a judgment of eternal death. Which one do you want? There is only one rational answer.

     You need the instruction manual called the Holy Bible. God instructs you on how to achieve eternal spiritual life in God the Father's  kingdom of heaven. However, it can not be understood unless God the Father allows it. There are basic requirements and some extra credit. This was my first entry on 12/24/15, the gospel message of our Lord Christ Jesus. The message we are all commanded to proclaim.

     My overall purpose is to bring to light the true gospel message, show how amazing these ancient texts were thousands of years ago, how more amazing they are today and reveal God's truth to a world deceived. I can't save anyone. My only hope is that some may be drawn to God by God the Father, in part by what I write. If that be so, it is well worth the effort.

     My advise, to anyone compelled to truly know God, is to totally rely on the written words of the Bible. If you seek out a brick and mortar priest, minister, rabbi, or TV evangelist, remember this is their occupation, they serve money as well, and they all went to divinity school, which teaches (among other stuff) how to make money in their chosen denomination. They will always lead you astray.
